In some editing activities (such as deleting a card, moving a card or changing the content or title of a card) the edited material is NOT sent to the server immediately. So an “asterix” would appear on the Update button at the top – signifying that you still need to click that.
On clicking the Update button, all edit changes would get transferred to the server. And you'd notice that the asterix also disappears.
